Firefox alt-left alt-right not working

Few days ago I noticed that my Firefox alt-left, alt-right keyboard shortcuts are not working anymore.. As I am using the keyboard extensively especially those 2 hotkeys and I was very annoyed by this problem. I was sure that this trouble was generated by one of my many extensions. Due to the large number of extensions installed disbaling them one by one was not a practical sollution. So I checked all with KeyConfig and found a bug in DuplicateTab extension. I like this extension because it can clone the browser history to the new tab along with the url so I checked the extesion and searched for an update but Firefox said one was not available.. I then went to extension's page and found out that there is an update indeed.. Installed it and everythings got back to normal.. Pretty weird that Firefox's extension manager didnt noticed me about the update.

Hi danyvip, popped over to let you know I'd finally got round to responding to your kind suggestion on my post about the OTA certificate (no joy for the 7710 as far as I know anyway).

Thanks for the info about Duplicate Tabs, I've been having weird things going on with Fox and the keyboard lately too, don't know if this will sort it but will have a go!

I know this is old, but I was having the same problem and this popped up when I Googled it. I'm not sure if this is what "fixed" it for me, but when I used the alternate keyboard shortcuts (Backspace for back, and Shift-Backspace for forward), the Alt-Left and Alt-Right started working again.
Weird.

I had the same symptom, but I don't use that particular add-on. But I ran with the idea by selecting Tools | Add-ons and then clicking on the Find Updates button. It turns out that NoScript had an outstanding update that needed to be applied. That thing is ALWAYS being updated! Anyway, the Alt-Left / Right keys started working after the update.

Thanks for posting your results.

I have the same problem, and none of the extensions you mention. Backspace and Shift+backspace would be a good solution except when a website places cursor focus in a text area. I am yet to find a solution to this bug.
